Surfblues

Ready for some good old Rock ‘nd Roll vibe?! Summer’s is over and the blues is kicking in. The swell of France and the ‘Waddeneilanden’ are far behind us and all we got left are memories: surfblues is real.

No edits, what you hear is what you see. Recorded at ship Vessel 11, in Rotterdam.

This song is an ode to the lost era of Rock nd Roll. To the lifestyle, the sound and playing live. The song came to existence after reading the biography of Bob Dylan. Here, he refers to the song 'Rumble' from 'Link Wray'. After jamming on that song, during our rehearsals (and cranking up the bpm massively), 'Surfblues' was born.

Think About You

Every summer, me and my band have a summer-surf-music roadtrip, passing by the French/Spanish surfcamps along the coast.
Playing music, having adventures, bringing good vibes and of course… LOTS OF SURFING!!
Zarautz, in Basque-country (Spain) is our favorite spot and this song is about the week we spent there, during summer 2019.

This song is about the summer feeling and the summer romance I had there.
I thought about that beautiful experience and all the other adventures I had with my musical friends during that summer.
Writing Think About You was at the serious lockdown beginning of the corona-pandemic, which made me quite melancholic and nostalgic.

What a crazy year 2020 has been, can’t wait for the ‘ normal’ summer days to kick in again!!
